Closure of the PEOPLE Project
16/12/11
The PEOPLE project is now ending and this is probably the right time to draw-up a balance of our activities achieved in such frame.
First of all, we can say that it has been a great professional and human experience for all of those people engaged over the last 3 years in this project. Recent figures and trends are clearly demonstrating that demographic changes are becoming one of the core issues of our society in Europe. Public opinion in Europe is widely aware of that uncertain transition and stimulate public authorities to act and as much as possible to counteract social consequences. Older people, youth, women, vulnerable and community groups are concerned and are under the threat of discrimination and marginalisation.
So, we are proud to be in the frontline in these fields and open to transfer our learning and recommendations to all people or organisations committed to face these challenges.
