Silver Economy Network of European Regions workshops Events > Silver Economy Network of European Regions workshops
02/07/10
The "Silver Economy Network of European Regions (SEN@ER)" (www.silvereconomy-europe.org) is preparing a series of workshops addressing key topics on aging.

T2 - Workshop: "Senior Enterprise: Active employment opportunities for older people 50+ / 60+", on 1 September 2010, Dublin (venue tbc)

T3 - Workshop: "Skills development and life-long-learning for older people", on 15 September 2010 at the Ministry for Generations, Family, Women and Integration of North Rhine-Westphalia, Düsseldorf

T4 - Workshop: "Regional strategies to prepare for demographic change", on 23 September 2010 at the Junta de Extremadura EU Representation, Brussels

The workshops aim at the development of a European exchange of information on activities and initiatives in different European regions in these areas, the identification of areas for cooperation which could lead to the establishment of partner consortia and the development and submission of project proposals to European Commission funding programmes. The plan is to be ready with European project proposals in time for the coming round of European Commission Calls for Proposals later this year and in early 2011.

The workshops will also provide an opportunity and platform for discussion of and agreement on possible cooperation activities as part of the upcoming European Year for Active Ageing & Intergenerational Solidarity 2012.

The European Secretariat has been commissioned by the network to prepare and organise the workshops. For each workshop the invitation and agenda will be e-mailed to interested persons and organisations who have expressed an interest in attending (see www.silvereconomy-europe.org (Silver Economy Network of European Regions) for details).
